After many years of dedicated service to our community, the current partners — Dr Gerald Segal, Dr Mark Faigen, and Dr Henry Monkus — have decided it is the right time to transition the Practice to one of our younger Associates.
Importantly, you will not notice any change as Chadstone Road Clinic will continue exactly as it always has.
All the previous partners — Dr Segal, Dr Faigen and Dr Monkus - as well as Associate doctors, Dr Lutfun Qudus and Dr Omid Rajaee, will remain at the Practice and continue providing care as usual, ensuring continuity of care and stability for our community.
All your doctors will continue to work exactly as they always have.
The Practice ownership has been transferred to Dr Amir Faham, who has been working at Chadstone Road Clinic for more than two years. He is very familiar with the Practice, our patients, the local community and many of you have already met him. He will assume responsibility for the ongoing operation and management of the Clinic. He brings strong clinical capability, forward-thinking leadership, and innovative ideas aimed at further improving patient care, service quality, and your overall experience.
The previous partners have expressed their full support for this transition and are delighted that Dr Faham has agreed to take on the responsibility and leadership of the Practice, ensuring its continued growth, success and future.
Your Medical Records and Privacy
Your medical records remain securely stored and protected in accordance with Australian Privacy Laws.
As always, you have the right to:
- Access your medical records
- Request a copy of your records
- Authorise the transfer of your records to another healthcare provider of your choice
No action is required from you unless you wish to access or transfer your records. If you do, our reception team will be happy to assist you promptly.
All patient information will continue to be handled with strict confidentiality and in line with our legal and ethical obligations.
About the practice
Chadstone Road Clinic has been proudly serving the community since 1943, when it was first established by the Moon brothers—one a doctor and the other a dentist. Originally located in a small shopping strip on Chadstone Road, the clinic quickly became a trusted name in family healthcare.
In 1960, with the opening of Chadstone Shopping Centre, the clinic moved into larger, purpose-built rooms in the “Garden Centre” area. Medical and dental services were provided side by side, sharing a waiting room while operating independently—an innovative approach at the time. As the practice grew, respected doctors such as Dr Alan Rosenhain and Dr John Howard joined the team, contributing to its reputation for excellence.
By the mid-1970s, the clinic had become one of the region’s leading group practices, with five partners, two associates, nurses, a practice manager, and a dedicated reception team. This model of comprehensive, team-based care was ahead of its time.
In 1991, to meet the needs of a growing community and ensure greater accessibility, the clinic moved back to Chadstone Road into a modern, custom-built facility. Purpose-designed for both patient comfort and clinical functionality, this remains our current home.
In 2003, the clinic adopted the name Chadstone Road Clinic, reflecting its longstanding roots and renewed identity. Two years later, in 2005, we joined with Murrumbeena Medical Practice to strengthen our services and commitment to the local area.
Today, we continue our proud tradition of delivering high-quality, holistic healthcare to individuals and families across Malvern East, Murrumbeena, Oakleigh, Glen Iris, Hughesdale, and surrounding suburbs. As a fully accredited practice, we remain dedicated to compassionate care, clinical excellence, and community wellbeing.
